I forgot my password, how do I reset?

I got a new laptop, loaded my Quicken software, however when I try to pull in my backed up data the software is requesting a password, which I have forgotten.

    Apologies, my version of Quicken is 2011, and it keeps asking for a password….I am unable to work. I need assistance ASAP!

    I'm afraid that if you forgot the Quicken data file password, you're out of luck. Or your data file is corrupt.
