Why are bills paid showing in the category summary report as money in?

Don't use the Category Summary report. Instead use New Report to create a category report. Click Transactions, Rows=Category, Create, then click Customize, set your date range, if desired, and any other filters. the report should provide the results you're expecting.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19935
