Reconciling and paying credit card enters old name in payment

I changed the name of my credit card account. But when I reconcile and pay my bill, the transaction that appears in the account and in the linked bank account (from which the payment is sent) is listed under the old name. I don't see how to correct this, other than to fix it manually each time, which is a pain. Any suggestions?
