I made an error on one of my Edward Jones accounts. The data I have does not match the EJ acct. Can I delete the data and the re-create the account by downloading from EJ?

How long ago did you create, in Q, this account? If recent, that might be a viable approach.BUT, note that most bank/cards/brokers limit the download, that's initiated from within Q, to 30-90 days. Would that be a sufficient period to get your data? Also note that if you have any transfers from other accounts into your EJ account, that they'll get screwed up when you delete the EJ account ... so think about this carefully.Lastly, in what manner is the account screwed up. It might be a better idea to fix the problem rather than start over.

Let's be careful.
"Can I delete the data and the re-create the account by downloading from EJ?..."
If you just delete the data, you cannot re-download the data from EJ into that same account. Any specific transaction is only downloaded into Quicken once. If you create a brand new account and associate it to EJ, you should be able to get the transactions again.
Generally speaking, I would recommend (as NotACPA suggested) determining how and when the account got screwed up and addressing those issues and errors.0
