Automatic file opening on startup

I have to select the file to open when I start quicken. I have quicken 2011 and it used to open the file automatically upon startup of quicken. Now I have to select the file. How do I make quicken open the file automatically without my selecting the file every time?

Check the length of your data file's name. If it is longer than 8 characters, (12345678.QDF), with Quicken closed, rename the file to something short using Windows Explorer, once renamed, double-click on it to start Quicken with that file, thus resetting the last file used.Close Quicken and restart via the icon, it should open your renamed data file.

BTW, to remove the older name from the recent file list on the File menu, click on it, when Quicken can't find it, it will offer to remove it. (Quicken 2018+)
