Tab from Month to Day in Transactions

It should be possible to Tab from the Month field to the Day field to the year field when manually entering a transaction. Currently in this mode the date field splits into three sections, obviously Mo, Day, Year. Yet, using the Tab key after correcting the month, it skips to the Payee field. This entails the extra step of clicking the track pad again to correct the Day field. This happens every month-end as last month's transactions are entered a day or so into the current month. Same thing happens with the Year field at year-end. Seems like a simple fix, since in other modes the Tab key does exactly that.

@BlueBuckeye This key command already exists: Option-Tab.
In the Date field, Option-Tab moves from month to day to year.
Also of note: to move backward between fields in Quicken (and most Mac applications), Shift-Tab moves you backward. In Quicken Mac, Shift-Tab to move backwards from Check number or Payee field moves you through the date field from year to day to month.
Another little-known secret of Option-Tab is in the Payee field: once you type ro select a Payee, when you press Option-Tab, Quicken retains the Payee but blanks all the other fields instead of showing the amount, category, notes, etc. from the previous transaction for the Payee. It's great for Payees like Home Depot or Amazon, where one transactions is unlikely to be at all like the last.
Quicken Help on the Help menu has a pretty good listing of keyboard commands for Quicken -- but it doesn't mention these tricks. It does, however, have a lot of key board commands for the date field which you might find worth checking out. The most common ones I use all the time are "t" for today's date, and + or - to increment or decrement the date, but I've never gotten in the habit of using all the others that are available.
