Dividend Reinvestment

I am having difficulty in establishing a investment account where dividends are reinvested quarterly. I do not want to download transactions because of the infrequency of investment..BUT..I am having difficulty entering in the information so that my Quicken software can accurately reflect my information. I also don't know under what category the account would fall under. My Quicken version should be 2019. Thanks

First, make sure you are using the Quicken Deluxe edition or higher. Starter does not support investing accounts.
Then go to Tools > Add account to set up your investing account. Make it the same type as it is in real life - Brokerage for a taxable account, 401(k), IRA, etc. In the Add Account dialog, click on "Advanced Setup" at the bottom, then pick "I want to enter my transactions manually" and follow the directions to complete the account setup.
Once the account is set up, select the account then click on the Enter Transactions button and pick Reinvest to enter your dividend reinvestments.QWin Premier subscription5
