Has there been a solution to the "Budget disappears" problem

I have completely lost my budget twice in the last week running QW 2017 Premier and up to date on all patches. File repair/validate did not fix. The first time I lost it I made a completely new budget even though I had a recent backup. This morning it was gone again. I searched the community and find other complaints, but I don't see a solution.

Have you tried to restore your Quicken data file from a Manual or Automatic Backup taken prior to the problem first occurring, if necessary going back to older backups until you find a file that does not exhibit these symptoms.

Sure. And then I have to re-enter the work I have done since the backup. Not acceptable. I see this is not a new problem and Quicken has not fixed it. See https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7849387/budget-has-disappeared-this-quicken-file-contains-no-budgetable-amounts-or-categories

You may consider this to be unacceptable, but the realty is that is your only option. If you choose not to restore, you will have no access to budgeting as whatever corrupted your data file only a restore will resolve.

You should only need to go back a few weeks and with transaction downloads, should not take that much effort to be up to date.

Restore possibilities are a way of life if you continue to use Quicken.
