When opening Quicken my screen toggles between formats for several minutes before I can use it.

When I try to open Quicken the screen display flashes for several minutes before I can use any feature. There may be a term for what it is doing but when it opens, the display repeatedly jumps from its normal position to a position slightly below and "forward" and then jumps back. I call it toggling between commands. It can do this toggling for several minutes. In addition, if my browser is open on the screen when I try to bring up Quicken, it will often toggle for a period and then shift to the background. This toggling process happens when I start Quicken and when and often when I try to switch from one account to another. What is the cause and solution?

Thanks that seems to have worked.

when I open Q the screen jumps several times before I can use it. When I change accounts to enter a transaction the screen jumps for several minutes before settling. I cannot enter anything while this is happening. Also, if my browser is open, Q will always go to the background. I have to minimize the browser to view Q.
