I have a transaction that was never sent, I tried to cancel, unsuccessfully (Bill Pay, Q Mac)

I reversed the transaction so that I balance, but with the recent updates, every time I exit, the system asks if I want to send the transaction. I would like to delete the transaction, but the program will not let me. The icon is showing the envelope for a sent transaction, the Check # is showing Cancel. Is there a way to resolve this issue?
