Starting today, Quicken 2017 opens then shuts down when a "crash report" window appears. T

Tried numerous fixes, crash report window appears and closes quicken down. Tried a reinstall but didn't work. Any suggestions?

I suggest you restore a recent data file backup: press the Ctrl key when you launch Quicken.  If you haven't already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/advanced-data-file-troubleshooting-correct-problems-quicken-windows
