Autofill categories (Q Mac)

I have been using Quicken over the last 10 years, and with the last upgrade I lost one functionality that I really liked: when I uploaded my transactions, categories were automatically generated based on my previous classification (I defined my own categories). Is there a way to make this work again? The chat support indicates the only way to make this work is educating the program to remember you entries, and the I must enter the information a few times as you work with them and then Quicken will do the rest. It has been more than 6 months - how long should that take?
