Quicken Classic for Mac
Reports (Mac)
How can I safely find an entry from 2011.
d.gerety.
I need to find an entry from 2011, from a much earlier version of Quicken for Mac. Can I restore a backup from that date to my current 2019 version, 5.12.5, and then restore the current version without losing anything? Of course I will do a current backup first.

If you imported your earlier data into modern Quicken, all your data should be there. Did you start from scratch when you moved to modern Quicken?
Are we talking about a Quicken 2007 data file you were using in 2011, which you did NOT import into modern Quicken? If so, yes, those files can be opened an imported into a Quicken 2019 data file* -- and that file would be separate from your current data file. Is that what you're wanting do to?
(*If you upgraded your macOS to Catalina already, you have a temporary blockage with importing Quicken 2007 data files. The converter for Quicken 2007 data files is a 32-bit utility and doesn't run on Catalina. I believe there is a solution to this planned for a forthcoming release, but we don't know when it will be out.)

Thank you, Jacobs. This helps a lot.
