"Why would I want to load data that is several weeks old, and then spend hours getting everything current, when the latest software update has caused the problem."It's really not clear if the software update is an issue or not. The suggestion was simply a test, it wasn't a suggestion to start over with a weeks-old file.I'm running the same release as you and I don't have the problem you describe and there aren't a ton of people in here with the same problem. That suggests something "local"@UKR has posted a link with an easy to follow process for validating your data file. I'd suggest trying that.5

If you haven't rebooted Windows since you installed the latest software update, please do so now and then try Quicken again.
Still not working?
Let's try some "Troubleshooting 101" to ensure the Quicken software is installed and updated properly and that your data file is in good working order.
Please perform all the steps in this document:

You're referring to the "Investment" tab, the one that brings up Portfolio view? That suggests to me some sort of data corruption. If you revert to a backup from a few weeks back, can you click on that tab without the crash?0
