I have exercised stock options . They are not employee granted options.
How can I enter that transaction . I looked trough some anwsers on the same question , but could not find the anwers. Can I rename the option and make them normal shares?

There's various ways of doing this that comports with the income tax requirements. Here's one way:
- At exercise date sell the call option at whatever price you paid for it. This results in no gain or loss and puts the cash you used to purchase the call back into your Account.
- At exercise date buy the stock at the strike price plus the money used to purchase the call. This will leave an amount owed to broker at (shares purchased) x (strike price.
This will start the holding period at the date of exercise and create a basis for the shares as the strike price plus the cost of the original option.5
