Quicken Classic for Mac
Installing and Updating (Mac)
How do I de-install Quicken Starter from my Mac?
thomaskostelec
Is this something that Quicken will allow me to do myself?
I have already submitted my Quicken receipt for a credit for the eDownload software I purchased at Quicken Online!

I would wait until you confirm you get your refund, and then delete the application. You can simply open your applications folder, find the Quicken Starter application, and move it to the trash (you'll need to give your Mac's administrator password). You'll also want to remove the Quicken icon from your Dock, assuming it is there: click and hold on the Quicken icon until the pop-up menu appears; select Options > Remove from Dock.
You can stop there, but if you want to remove other pieces of Quicken data from your Mac, in the Finder hold the Option key while pulling down the View menu, and select Library. Open the Application Support folder and look for the Quicken folder (I'm not sure if it's called Quicken or Quicken Starter). This is where your Quicken data file lives by default, backups live by default, and some support data files live. If you're not going to use Quicken again, then you can trash the entire folder.
The last little piece, if you care to remove it, is in that same user Library folder, in the Preferences folder. Scroll down and look for any entries that start with "com.quicken" and delete them.
