I cannot download prices for a mutual fund
DuBois
I have a new security that is marked in the security list to receive download quotes when updates occur. It does not update, while all other securities do. I have double checked the ticker symbol. When I try to download the historical prices through the security detail view, this security does not show up in the list of available securities

To receive quote updates, a security must
-- have a recognized ticker
-- have "Download quotes" checked
-- have "Watch list" checked -or- have a nonzero share balance
UKR
Allow me to add
-- and must be of Security Type = Mutual Fund (or Stock or anything else other than "Market Index"*)
* Security Type = Market Index is reserved for true market indices like Dow Jones and cannot be used for Mutual Funds that track a market index.

Adding it to the Watch List did the trick. Thank you, UKR!

: FYI Security type = Market index should be valid for quote downloads. That is how the true market indices values are downloaded. Securities with type = Market Index are usually filtered from (prevented for) transaction entries like buys and sells.
