Investment Account Cash Balance is Incorrect
chrisboat1
Have an Investment Account with a linked bank account. The linked bank account balance is $0.00 but the Account Overview for the Investment Account shows Cash ... Market Value $2,700 and Cost Basis $2,700.
Would like to clear out the invalid $2,700 cash amount but don't know where it is coming from. This is probably a very old problem as I have several years of transactions and have never really paid attention to this number.
Help would be appreciated.

That is odd. Have you tried going to File > File operations > Validate and repair and validating the file and rebuilding the investing lots? Back up your data file first in case something goes wrong.
If that doesn't fix it, try setting the As of date in the Account Overview to see when the problem first arises then look at transactions around that date to see if there is anything unusual or suspicious.

Thank you Jim,
I had already tried the validate and repair. But using the As of date worked perfectly. After I found where As of was it was easy to see that Bought and Div transactions that had previously been BoughtX and DivX were causing the problem.
Working on the X stuff but now the numbers are perfectly correct.
Thanks
Chris
