When I go to backup my file or save a copy of my file. I get a window that says it cannot save because file is use by another application. Then I get kicked out.
Any one know whats going on?

Are you saving your Q data file to Dropbox, or a similar automated backup system? If so, that Application has grabbed your file while you're trying to backup. Re-direct that system AWAY from grabbing your Q data file and TO copying the backup that Q creates.
