Does my Quicken subscription allow me to install a copy on my laptop in addition as the copy I have installed on my desktop?

The Quicken Subscription product can be installed on unlimited devices, as long as you use the same Quicken User ID and password.for each installation.

Also, there is NO provision in Quicken to sync the data file on one computer with another computer, so you would have to do that yourself using some copy mechanism.
You should never keep the data file in a folder that is by syncing/copying software like Dropbox/OneDrive etc. It will only lead to file corruption.
