Asterisk in the Investment Portfolio

In the Cost Basis column (which has a number) there is an * next to the number. A single asterisk, no number, appears in the Gain/Loss and Gain/Loss % columns. No asterisk appears in any column for the funds in this account. When I say Show Closed Lots, no asterisk appears for any closed funds. I have looked at the individual account and, at the bottom of the account, it shows zero (0) Placeholder entries. What can I do to resolve this asterisk issue?

To calculate Cost Basis, Quicken needs to know the cost of the security holding. I suspect you do have some placeholder transactions in the investment account to resolve. To view the placeholders in the account, select Edit > Preferences...
Open the investment account and look for transactions with an Action set to Entry.

Thanks for the information. Found the hidden transactions. They were over 10 years old and I no longer own the funds, so I just deleted them. The Investment report is now correct. Thanks again.0
