File Conversion and Backup (Windows)
I am trying to export accounts data from Quicken 2001 to a QIF file
Greenleaf1955
I have Quicken 2001 and am attempting to export accounts (and other lists etc) data to a QIF file. When selecting OK from the QIF Export screen sometimes the timer goes round for a few seconds and sometimes not but in either event, there is no confirmation of the export and nothing appears in the designated folder.
Can anyone offer any suggestions please ?
Many thanks

I have tried to install this patch but it is saying it won't work with my version of Quicken..... It is suggesting I download the latest version
mshiggins
I recall older version required a printer to be defined in Quicken in order to create a QIF file. I believe it is "printing" the QIF in order to generate a file.

Thanks for the suggestion.... I'll give it a try and let you know

Hi mshiggins
I have now hard wired a printer to my laptop as Quicken is so old it couldnt cope with a WiFi connection....
You are correct that it is trying to output the QIF file to the printer.
Does your excellent memory recall how to change it to output to a file/folder please?
