Including split categories in customizing report categories
Jack Bigelow
I just upgraded to Quicken Home & Business 2020. Banking transactions with split categories cannot be included in report customization of categories. How can I fix this?

It's not clear exactly what you are trying to do. A report that is organized by category should break any split transactions by category.

Hi, Jim. I agree with you. I have used Quicken for more than 20 years and this has never happened before. I am sure there must be a glitch or I am doing something wrong, but have yet to diagnose the issue. When I write a check and charge a single category, the transaction is included in the report. But when I split categories, the transaction is excluded, and the customization routine, with which I am most familiar, does not seem to work.

Quicken support told me to not use the splitting feature when I write checks, but I am not about to write a separate check for each category involved.
