"Bought" transaction not decreasing cash balance
heckmanm
My 401k doesn't download directly, but does support export of transactions in QFX format. Since the first of 2019, it's not importing any transactions when I open the QFX file.
Further, when I try to enter transactions manually, it shows "N/A" in the cash amount, rather than a negative number showing a decrease to the account's cash balance.
This has worked fine since 2008, until my first contributions in 2020.
(Premier 2020, R24.14, build 27.1.24.14)

The "N/A" in the cash amount arises because of placeholders in the Account so the first thing I'd try is seeing if you can find those and resolve them. You should be able to see them down at the bottom of the transaction list in the "Placeholders Entries" section but I'd suggest doing Edit > Preferences > Investment transactions > Show hidden transactions so you'll see them in the transaction list.
As far as the inability to import information, have you talked to your financial institution, and what's the name of the institution? Maybe someone else with the same FI could chime in.
