I cannot put my current transaction into my register!

After downloading my transaction I open my register to my checking account and try and click on the transaction and it flashes and stops responding and I am unable to match any transactions. The program stops responding and asks to close or wait for it to respond.
I waited for 1 hour on hold with tech support and gave up. There is no chat feature on the support page . I am getting very frustrated and tried looking for another software to go to and could not find any comparable. How do I fix this????
