transfer old data to new computer using Quicken 2020

I have Quicken 2012 and just downloaded Quicken 2020 on my laptop. How do I transfer old data to new computer via thumb drive?

Just copy the .qdf file. It should be under Documents in a Quicken folder. Actually just copy the whole Quicken folder. Then you should get any other data files and backup files.

Other way would be to make a Quicken Backup to the thumbdrive and then do a Quicken Restore on the new computer, making sure that you have it put in the folder where you want it.

A folder named Quicken under Documents is the normal location.
