Quicken Bill Manager Security

Now that Quicken Bill Manager will require access to all our biller website usernames and passwords, what assurances do we have that is information will be secure from hackers and employee prying eyes? Is this information maintained in our Quicken vault or stored on some Quicken server somewhere?

Hello @WES
Thank you for the additional clarification.
To update the Online Biller account login credentials:- Open Quicken and go to the Bills & Income tab
- Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner
- Select "Manage Online Billers"
- In the window that opens, click "Edit Password" for the online biller that you wish to update
The payment accounts are enabled through the bank issued Account and Routing number, not the login credentials.
If updates to the Account and/or Routing numbers are needing to be made, this can be done by:- Open Quicken and go to the Bills & income tab
- Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner
- Select "Payment Accounts"
- Highlight the account that you wish to update and select "Edit"
Hope this helps, thanks again.

Hi WES,
Quicken Bill Manager has the same level of security as Quicken; your biller usernames and passwords are actually stored in an encrypted token, and when your bills are updated or paid, all of that information is encrypted with bank-level security before it's sent.
Hope this helps--Quicken Kathryn

So where is this encrypted token maintained -- locally in Quicken or on a server somewhere?0

If your username or password change, how is this updated in Q Bill Manager?0

UPDATED QUESTION:
If your username and/or password change, how is this information updated in Quicken Bill Manager -- both "billers" and "payment accounts"?0 -
Hello @WES
Thank you for the additional questions.
To answer the first question, the encrypted token is maintained locally.
To ensure we are understanding the second question correctly, please let us know if you are asking about the Username/Password for:- The Quicken ID
- The Online Biller Account(s)
- The Payment Account(s)

Good answer -- thank you. General comment -- It would sure be nice if Quicken released a Quicken Bill Manager Manual (PDF) that cover not just the setup of QBM, but also covers all the other functionality and menu items as QBM is new to everyone.1
