This did not previously occur. Updating only when requested, but now seems to update without my requesting.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Not sure what you are seeing - or wanting -use the --> Tools --> Security List
to view all your securities,
and checkmark (or not) those you want to download quotes.Next - check the --> Edit --> Preferences --> Startup -
for the - Download Transactions - upon Quicken startup5 -
There are several ways Quicken can "automatically" update your security prices. Here is how to turn off each of them:
1) One Step Update (OSU) - In the OSU setup, un-check "Download quotes and investment information"
2) At startup - see @ps56k's instructions above
3) Every 15 minutes (Premier and up only I think) go to Edit > Preferences > Investment transactions, un-check "Automatically update quotes every 15 minutes"
Security prices are also updated by your financial institution when you download transactions. I don't know of a way to turn this off by itself.
For some reason updating Quicken sometimes changes these settings.
If you want to see prices or account balances as of an earlier date, you can change the As of date in the account's Holdings view or in the Investing> Portfolio views.QWin Premier subscription6

Thank you.
I use Premier and have for more years than I wish to admit. However, until this past week there were no "updates" that I didn't initiate.
I don't want it to update until I want it to update.
I have checked both your suggestion (was already unchecked) and that of ps56k and I guess I will need to wait until Monday when the markets open to see if this worked.
Again,
Thank you0
