Quicken Won't Accept Password
prsistnt1
This is for Quicken Subscription version for Windows. My bank forced me to change my password recently, one of the password rules is that the password contain a special character. I had special characters in my previous password and had no problems. However, now when I try to use the new password in One-Step Update, Quicken tells me to add a password to the account. When I try to add the password in the vault, Quicken tells me it can't use that password. I know you can't use certain special characters but I'm not using a special character that's listed in any forum I've seen. I used $ and ? initially then just a * but I'm still getting the same error. Any ideas? Thanks

Try updating the branding using the info in this article:

Thanks but didn't work. Still asks for the password during the branding process which it won't accept. A lightbulb went off and I tried to use any special character in the password box during One Step Update without going to the bother of changing it at the bank first and it would not accept any special character in the password. When I created a password without a special character, it accepted it.
