Correcting Share imbalance when transfer between firms

I moved mutual fund from firm A to B. Then I moved them in Quicken Account A to B. I didn't record over the years exactly all of the reinvest, but most of them. I think this is creating my imbalance. For example on I have 459.256 share reported by brokerage, 900.562 shares tracked in Quicken and -441.305 shares unaccounted for. Do I add these share to the Account A in Quicken and then transfer them or do I just "add transaction" in the Quicken Tool? Thank you

I know nothing about "Mac" Quicken but the fact that you have just about double the shares in your Quicken Account suggests that you might have doubled up on the original transfer of shares, maybe accepting a downloaded transaction from B in addition to your manual entry. You might look back at that to see if that's the main source of the misstatement of shares.
