How do I record a dividend check - cash balance should not increase in account

I receive dividend checks - and cash them. I want to record the dividend income but not increase cash balance in the account. Any suggestions?

    Options
    Show the dividend received transaction, in the brokerage account, as being a transfer to either a Banking account, or to a CASH account ... depending upon what you actually did with the check.
