    Here it is 6 yrs later and I'm struggling with the same thing. I haven't started updating "div,buy" to "reinvdiv". The downloads seem to randomly switch between the two and constantly correcting seems daunting.

    That's not a Quicken decision.  Since all investment accounts are downloaded via "Direct Connect" ..., it depends entirely upon what the investment firm sends.
    Q can't .. and shouldn't change what's sent.
