I tred backup / restore and export / import but Quicken on the new Mac does not recognize the files as what it expects.
How do I do this?

If you are running the same version of QMac on both macs, then there's no reason that backup on one and restore that file on the other shouldn't work. Can you provide any more detailed info about how you are going about it?Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s0

I figured it out. I just took the quicken file, moved it to the new computer and opened it. So simple it did not occur to me.
thanks for your help.0 -
@scottthompson135 Going forward, you should only move either a backup file or a compressed copy of the file (in the Finder, File > Compress) of your data file between computers. Unexpected and sometimes fatal file access problems can pop up if you move and uncompressed file between computers.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
