rather than starting from scratch, can I import my data/setups from quicken 2017 to the new install....not sure what to call it....

Yes you can continue using your existing data file in the new version. Your data is kept separate from the program. Did you install it yet? Then it should find you data file or go up to File-Open.

To install Quicken, I suggest you download and open:
https://download.quicken.com/windows/Quicken.exe
NotACPA
QW2017 and QW Subscription use the same file format ... so unlike some prior upgrades, there's not even a file conversion.
