STATUS:
Registered Quicken Premier 2017 running on Win10. (QPW)
Am considering NOT renewing to the subscription model; hopefully fully aware as to the potential impacts and risks. (which for me will be lack of support)
QUESTION:
Do I have everything I might need to perform a QPW 2017 install on my "next" Windows computer or perform a "recovery re-install" on my current Windows box?
ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR:
Have always "religiously" backed-up and archived data files (*.QDF-backup)
Have downloaded and archived Quicken 2017 from Quicken Support
Have downloaded and archived Quicken 2017 Mondo Patch 19.8 from Quicken Support
Have downloaded and archived MSIClean32.exe from Quicken Support
Have downloaded and archived QCleanUI.exe from Quicken Support
PARTICULARLY HELPFUL THREADS ALREADY FOUND AND REVIEWED:

I suggest you also review these threads:BTW in my opinion the safest version of Quicken to use for the manual entry folks would be Quicken 2013. It is the last version that didn't require a Quicken/Intuit Id. Quicken Inc makes the Quicken Id free and "supported" in the sense that they don't disable it or such when your product goes out of support, but if Quicken Inc was to go out of business there would be no way to reinstall, because you have to log into that Quicken Id.Of course Quicken 2013 isn't going to be able to read your Quicken 2017 data file so this point is probably moot.Signature:

Thanks for the thoughtful reply and additional links.
After 27 years of continuous use, consideration of a "lapse" is not something I'm taking lightly or w/o due consideration.
While the subscription model represents an approximate doubling software cost over time (based on actual charges for QPW '14 and '17) ...
... I'm still undecided if what amounts to only about $1/week is too much.Quicken Premier (Windows) user since 19920 -
Well you can certainly try for a few months and decide if it is worth it to you.Signature:
