Having problem updating basis for correct basis in Brokerage Acct

Question

Need help with specific instructions on how to update and correct  stock basis in my Quicken accounts.  Have tried several times but continue to run into problems.  The basis in many of the stock positions have different lots.

Any help would be appreciated.

The most accurate way would be to review all your purchases and sales of each problem security and correct the lots sold to match your broker's records.

If you would be happy to just have your current total cost basis match your broker's total, you can Remove all the shares in Quicken and Add them back in with the correct total basis. If you do this, however, and you make a partial sale in the future, your basis will be off again.
