There are many ways. One way is to open the credit card account register, select
Last Year
in the first pull-down menu,
Charge
in the second pull-down menu, and the number of transactions and total should appear at the bottom left of the register.

Thank you. Just what I needed. I was trying to do it thru reports. Didn't realize the register was the place to find this.

We may use reports, too. For example, select
Reports > Banking > Banking Summary
, press
Alt + C
, select
Last year
in the
Date range:
pull-down menu, select the
Account
in the
Row:
pull-down menu, select the
Accounts
tab,
Clear All,
check the desired credit card accounts, select the
Advanced
tab,
Payments
in the transaction type: pull-down menu, and
OK.
