How do I see how much I've charged to a credit card in a given time period?

There are many ways. One way is to open the credit card account register, select Last Year in the first pull-down menu, Charge in the second pull-down menu, and the number of transactions and total should appear at the bottom left of the register.5

Thank you. Just what I needed. I was trying to do it thru reports. Didn't realize the register was the place to find this.0

We may use reports, too. For example, select Reports > Banking > Banking Summary, press Alt + C, select Last year in the Date range: pull-down menu, select the Account in the Row: pull-down menu, select the Accounts tab, Clear All, check the desired credit card accounts, select the Advanced tab, Payments in the transaction type: pull-down menu, and OK.0
