Account Intent: Retirement vs Investing
Mike23
Been using Quicken for years and just noticed that you can classify accounts as Retirement, Investing, etc. Besides where its displayed, does classifying an account as Retirement vs. Investing change anything else in Quicken. Thanks

I can't think of anything (including reports) in Quicken which would care about the difference between investment and retirement. Even the Life Planner doesn't care.
On the other hand I have set a CD account (it setup as a savings account) to have the intent of investment and besides putting it under Investing on the account bar it also puts it into the "Investing Activity" report.

It may affect which reports include the account by default.
