I use to receive an alert during a manual backup that asked if I want to overwrite an existing backup when I use the same name. I nolonger receive those alerts it simply overwrites the existing backup. Has this feature been removed? If not how can I reenable this feature?

I just tested and the manual backup displays the usual overwrite warning, provided you did not set to ignore. You can attempt to clear this in the settings.5

On the backup popup, did you tell Q to add the date to the file's name? If so, you would only get the overwrite question if you made two backups on the same date.

GeoffG, thanks that did resolve my issue. I looked under Backup preferences but not Alerts & Messages. Thanks0

Splasher, thanks for the suggestion. I did append the date to my file name but I wasn’t getting the alert even on multiple saves on the same day. Thanks for your suggestion.0
