bank account not functioning properly

I enter amounts from my checkbook manually into my checking account in quicken. Dates of transactions are all out of date order in the quicken. When I request transactions from checking account for a certain time period, to work with budget, many of the entries are left out.However, if I ask for last months entries it provides correct entries. Very frustrating when working with this account as it is fifficult to find a past transaction, but also when extracting data, I never know if it is correct

    It sounds like your account register isn't sorted by date.
    Click on the Date column header to sort by Date, if you click on it again it will reverse the sort.

    You can also find other sorting options by clicking the upper right gear icon and selecting -> Sort options
    (I'm using the latest Quicken subscription version)
