Why do I get a popup window "Confirm Principal and Interest"
dswitzercpa
This happens when I click on my American Express credit card account in the Account Bar. The popup wants me to confirm principal and interest amounts paid to a specific bank. I don't have an outstanding loan with this bank?

Did you ever have an outstanding loan with this bank or any loan where payments were made with your AMEX card? It seems like that Account is or was connected to an amortizing loan.
This is the only instance of "Confirm Principal and Interest" mentioned within the Community I could find:
https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7826063/how-to-provide-an-effective-date-for-loan-term-modifications-for-a-loan-i-made
though Google brought up this PDF using a search on "Quicken 'Confirm Principal and Interest'":
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwj96NDYgYTqAhVNGDQIHc29D_4QFjABegQIAhAB&url=https://agnr.osu.edu/sites/agnr/files/imce/Feb19Quicken/02.19.18-Ch5.pdf&usg=AOvVaw2CgnM4r9PV6e0ZFyILqhgj
Is the sum of the two amounts always the same? (I'd think it would be.) Do you have a memorized payee or reminder linked to the AMEX CC Account that might be causing this?

I think (hope) I figured it our. The last transaction in the closed loan account did not make the balance $-0-, so I corrected the coding to make that happen. I hope that fixes the problem. Thank you for leading me in the right direction!

I did have a loan with the bank years ago, but payments were never made with my AMEX card. I do have a memorized payee (for the bank). But I can't find a reminder linked to my AMEX card. Where would I find that?
