Investing - $ gain/loss for any time period

Investing - performance old.... I can get $ day gain/loss. I would like to get $ gain/loss for any time period by selecting options-portfolio preferences - from date...Under customize I have not been able to find a column that will do that. Suggestions?

Take a look at the Return column. Does that meet your needs? This get complicated when there are purchases or sales during the period.
