What kind of password.... as there are several with different aspects of Quicken -
- your Quicken ID password
- your Quicken Data File password
- passwords for accessing and downloading for your financial institutions
- password for Quicken password vault

Thank you i don't know why there should be so many passwords.
I think i'm asking about the data file password.
I know the financial institutions and i don't use the password vault for that.
what is the quicken ID password?

On the File menu, pick the File Password listing.
What you need to do is change the password, do NOT enter anything for the new password when making the change and the password will be removed.
Don't forget that password, if you ever need to restore one of your old backups, you will need it then.
