Using Quicken 2010

How do I add cents to the account side bar? Only showing dollar amounts now.
Also would like banking to open at the register transactions instead of overview. How do I change this? Thanks for any assistance you can give.

In Edit / Preferences / Startup there's a selection "On startup open to: [......]"
Click that selection box and select the account name you wish to access.
Save the change, stop and restart Quicken and it'll open to the desired account register.
IMHO, setting the startup option to a personalized Home page which I created works best for me. I customized it to show a list of Bill Reminders and a few other views. That works best for my needs.
  • Thank you so much for the help with the show cents issue.
I am still having trouble with getting the account transaction screen on startup. The banking tab comes up with the overview on startup. The only option was the banking tab, not the account named transaction screen. What am I missing?

Do you have popup registers on?

If so you can't start on a register.

  • No. Popup registers are off. I used to have the account transaction screen show up at startup all the time. I must have changed it in error and am having difficulty returning to the previous setting. If you have any other ideas I thank you in advance.

When you're in Preferences / Startup and scroll down towards the bottom of the list of available "on startup open to ..." options, does a list of account register names eventually show up?
If your Q 2010 supports this function, it should.

    BTW ...

    Old Quicken Patch downloads 2000+

When running an old, unsupported Quicken for Windows version you may no longer be able to download bug fixes (patch files) directly from Quicken.
However, until further notice they are still available here:
    US version: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html
    Canadian version: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatchescanadian.html
If clicking on Help / About Quicken does not show the highest Release number available for your version (year), as shown on this webpage, download and install the appropriate file(s) from the link above.
