Is there a way to manually add a retirement account IRA/401K?

I have a couple of IRA/401k accounts that do not allow for syncing online but I would like them to show up in the retirement section. I have only been able to select savings (which makes it show up in the wrong section) It seems only the accounts that sync to banks/investments have the option of having the type of IRA/401K. Am I missing something?

Yes, this can definitely be done.
In the left sidebar, click the + icon at the top, and select Investments > 401k from the drop-down menu. This opens the Add 401k Account window. Click "My bank does not exist in the list" at the bottom left of this window, and in the dialog that pops up, click "Add Manual Account". Enter your opening balance, and click Finish. It will create the account "401(k)" under the Retirement heading. You can then edit the name of this account to whatever you wish by Control-clicking on it in the left sidebar and selecting Rename.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19935
