I get error 8062 when I try to backup my Quicken2017 data onto a thumb drive (Q Mac)

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. I do apologize for the issue you're having. I was taking a look at the error and saw it seems to be an issue that sometimes happen moving/creating a file on an external drive. I've found a discussion on the apple community board with an answer from a specialist with a couple of things to try. I'll link that down below.

@radiorab I suspect it has to do with how the thumb drive is formatted. Many thumb drives are formatted for FAT-32 (an older DOS/Windows format). You can re-format the thumb drive, but what happens if you back up Quicken to your desktop, and then copy the file to the thumb drive? (Then delete the copy on your desktop, and copy the file from the thumb drive back to your Mac desktop, to make sure it displays as a Quicken file.)Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19932
