I recently added a margin account to my investment account. How do other users track margin account transactions in Quicken Mac?

Hello @J. Holmes
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community to post your question although I apologize that you haven't received a response.
What type of transactions are you needing to track? If you are needing to track banking type transactions you will need to use the type "Payment/Deposit."
Entering a "Payment/Deposit" transaction will allow for the transaction to have a category and will also allow for transfers.
If this is not what you are needing, please provide additional details so that the Community may be better able to assist.
Thank you,

I actually discovered there is a margin interest expense category available for tracking.
The only downside is when I use the margin account for trades (which is not often), the cash balance of the brokerage account goes negative until I transfer cash in to pay off the margin balance.
