I've had Apple stock for 5 years and every time I need to enter a transaction for it, Quicken needs to look up security info. This always happens only for AAPL. Does anyone know how to fix this?

In Tools / Security List please sort the list by Symbol (click the Symbol column header).
- Now check the Security Type for your AAPL entry. If it isn't "Stock" change it to "Stock".
- If there's a checkmark in the "Hide" column click to remove it.
- If there are multiple entries with Symbol = AAPL remove the duplicates. You really only need one entry, even if you own AAPL in more than one account. Views and reports sorted or grouped by account can easily track holdings separately by account.

Press Ctrl + Y, uncheck the box in the Download Quotes column for the AAPL security, and select Done.0

Thank you, Sherlock, but that only keeps the stock price from updating.0

Thanks, UKR. It was the checkmark in the "Hide" column that was causing the problem.0
