In Investing Tab, does the Gain/Loss figure in Portfolio account for cash divs or reinvested divs?

Is there a Quicken parameter that would include cash dividends over time in the calculated overall gain from stocks and mutual funds?

Yes, that is the Avg Annual Return columns in the Investing Portfolio views or the Investment Performance Report.

The Average Annual Return figures (portfolio view or Investing Performance Report) do include effects of dividends (and similar income), and are presented as a percent return, whereas Gain/Loss is a dollar amount figure.

Return (in various forms via portfolio views) is also a dollar figure and will include dividends and similar income.  It will also include the Realized gain/loss from sales of shares of a security.  So it is not the "return" on the current shares held, but rather the return on the shares owned at some time during the relevant period.

IMO, Average Annual Return is the best universal measure of investment performance that Quicken offers.

Do you know why "Return % 5 Year" has values only for Mutual Funds in Portfolio view? Value are there for common stocks.
    Thank you.

My understanding is that Quicken downloads that data from third party financial information provider and that those figures are static - i.e. they are not calculated based on  (or related in any way to) your investment transactions.
