Can you put a US stock into a Canadian account with the Cdn stocks or do you need a separate account for the US stocks?

    Each account is limited to a single currency.  If the US stock is trading on a Canadian  exchange in C$ with other Canadian stocks, you're fine.  But you cannot mix a USD based security with C$ based securities.
